Writing Instructions
This week we have been learning to write clear, easy-to-follow instructions. We thought about the features that good instructions would need, such as bossy verbs and time connectives, and made a list of 'Golden Rules'. We all made fruit smoothies together and afterwards we used our Golden Rules to help write a set of instructions to explain what we had done.
Class O: Don't forget to keep looking for interesting instructions to bring into school and stick onto our display board next week! You might find them in newspapers, magazines or on the internet.

A Day in the Life of Me
This week we have been doing lots of work on an English project about our identities and everyday lives. We have been writing scripts to explain some of the things that we do on an ordinary day. We have also been taking photos outside of school of some of the things we do with our families, and we will put these together with our scripts to create a photostory presentation next week.
If any of you have still not had chance to take your photos and get them into school could you please try to make sure that they are in on Monday so we can begin working on the laptops.
Thank you (and happy new year)!
